Police tracking down group of men suspected of illegal entry
Sources within the RVIPF said the group was seen in a vessel travelling at a "very fast rate" from the direction of St John, US Virgin Islands (USVI).
Eyewitnesses said the men also had a motorcycle onboard the vessel.
By the time law enforcement arrived at the dock; however, the men had already made their escape in two vehicles, one described as a grey pickup truck, which they had attached a dinghy.
One reportedly fled on the motorcycle with a large duffle bag on his back.
More details will be provided as they come in.
The recent spike in positive COVID-19 cases in the Virgin Islands is being attributed to illegal entry and human smuggling.

Do you know whether you are positive for Covid-19?
If you were in a community where there was an outbreak of Measles or Chicken Pox would you have risked others catching it? Then, why do it for a more dangerous virus?
If you infected your parents/siblings/grandparents/children and anyone of them were to die from Covid-19 God forbid, would you still be selfish in your actions?
The USVI and Bahamas were in single digits and now the USVI has over 300 cases while Bahamas has over 1,300. This transpired in just over a month.
Contact the medical hotline at 852-7650 to arrange testing. Others who you were in contact with should do the same.
Do you rather you or your family and friends be 6 feet under or 6 feet or more apart?
Stop making foolish decisions and correct the error you made by illegally entering putting others at risk.
surely that must be on camera. !!
If not then why hasn’t investment been made and help requested in an area of national security?

Honourable Malone stated that the movement of vessels within Territorial waters is restricted except for approved fisherfolk and intra-island ferries with the exception of those traveling to and from Anegada.
How difficult would it be to set up a base on the western end of Great Thatch, use one of those confiscated go fast boats at the marine base and man the base with a crew made up from police, customs and immigration officers.
Talk tola too like to spread false information that send the Police in the wrong direction.
Forget about the police doing their job, they are lazy and rude. Why did they need my name, did I sound stupid??? Since then I heard more boats going by in curfew, but why bother to call and get in drama. Police dept here is full of people who don't want to work or catch anyone.
We don’t have immigration service, customs.
I don’t know. Who is ultimately responsible for border control?
From what I observe the Governor is out there taking part in local events, went on foot through the bush to help find his worker God rest his soul, supports the Farmers’ Market, helps in other initiatives, and you think only you could staycation sailing and diving.
