The inspector and Sargeant have to be held responsible. This is slackness on the police end

Can't agree with you more. Given the recent situation with the other escapee you'd think the police would have been more diligent. These officers have just become UNEMPLOYED. no questions.

Technically this man is not a prisoner. He has been arrested and was being taken to the police station when he escaped from custody. He did not make it to lock up nor was he convicted in a court of law. He is not a prisoner. A good lawyer should be able to sort this out. His rights have been prejudiced. They are using the media to cover up their sloppy work.
Kurt probably knew they were about to spoil his Christmas and decided it ain't gonna happen.

What kind of stupidity are you talking about. He escaped from the police vehicle. Now when they catch his dumb ass he will be a prisoner for sure. Hope no one is stupid enough to hide him for 4 years like the the half breed Santo idiot from Sea Cows Bay.

Everytime the police do something good, such as the last raid/recapture/arrest some incompetent act over shadows it. Its a set of young ill supervised officer are left to make some critical decision that they are not capable of making. Oh they need help

The accused has a long history of criminal activities. He has been founded guilty and have serve prison terms a number of times. Has been from his childhood a bad child. His bad behaviours continue into his adulthood. I know this man. I know his parents very well, and his sisters, too. Lay the blame where it should, not where it shouldn't. When you don't know it is best not to make comments without facts. No police officer/officers should be blamed for his continuing disrespectful inial behaviours. I know this man mindset. Prison is a safer place for him than not.

I am going to try to be respectful with my comment

Obviously you Sir, either don't know the person involved or you are just trying to stir up another ants nest around the "born here vs. down island" nonsense, and you should be ASHAMED of yourself. We are all born somewhere and the hateful rhetoric you and people like you buy into and continue to spread is ignorant, divisive and destroys our little community. We can't have our cake and eat it too... we are all one people, descended from the same set of former slaves and should be promoting more cooperation than division.

The man is MY cousin, a "born-here" Tortolian. Me and him are cool, but I do NOT condone his choice of lifestyle or bad choices. It really hurts my heart to not only see him in trouble again for stealing, but to compound the issue with escaping from the Police.

CJ... if you are reading this, don't make it hard on yourself, turn yourself in peacefully and make things easier on yourself and your mom and sisters. This life isn't for you... this isn't how you were raised, and in spite of your wanting to make a better life for yourself, this lifestyle and the companions you keep are going to keep you in and out of jail or on the road to getting killed young. If you really want to turn your life around, hopefully get a fresh start and maybe even a good family someday... Turn yourself in please.

  • HE IS NOT A PRISONER (21/12/2021, 11:13) Like (1) Dislike (1) Reply
Common sense ain't so common. He has not been sentenced by a court of law. He might have been a prisoner before but when you are released you are no longer a prisoner. Until he is caught tried convicted and sentenced HE IS NOT A PRISONER. This is not rocket science. I'm willing to bet the legal definition for this man would be FUGITIVE.
    • WebOxWiki (21/12/2021, 13:49) Like (1) Dislike (1) Reply
      Prisoner definition
1.person legally committed to prison as a punishment for a crime or while awaiting trial.
      2. A prisoner (also known as an inmate or detainee) is a person who is deprived of liberty against their will. This can be by confinement, captivity, or forcible restraint.

Why in Tortola prisoners is handcuffed from the front. If they are handcuffed from the back it is harder for them to run.

we must agree we are dealing with a real problem in the BVI he is not the only one in this position, we have white-collar crime foe the top. what we need to rehabilitate our young men in prison isn't the answer. not sure if things change at the prison since Mr.Hill took over but one thing is sure they have access to everything they had on the outside.

CJ we are pleading with you to turn yourself in I wouldn't want to see anything bad happen to you. there is something very fishy about your so-called escape, but in time what happens in darkness will come to light. The family continues to pray for your safe return.

We in the BVI we are dealing with a real problem where drugs and alcohol destroy the lives of our young people.
lets work on saving a generation that needs saving

He has been seen on Josiah’s Bay beach for the last 3 days. If the police really wanted him, they could go in civilian clothes and just act like regular people and you will catch him selling his weed.
    • Peter (17/01/2022, 17:59) Like (0) Dislike (0) Reply
@ Madussa, yes, he is in open sight daily at Josiahs Bay beach near the surf school harrassing people and selling weed. You are right, if police woreplain beach clothes, they would catch him easy.
