Police seek more evidence in Kani Hazell shooting incident
It was this news site that contacted Mr Mason following word that four persons were arrested and in police custody in relation to the shooting incident of Kani Hazell which took place on the frontage of Ups Cineplex on June 7, 2015.
Mason confirmed that indeed four men were taken into custody but were all subsequently released following their being interviewed but pending further investigations. No charges were laid against any of the men and as such their names remain protected.
The process of seeking further evidence to bring justice to Hazell who up to June 10, 2015 remained in a critical condition in the Peebles Hospital as he was said to have been on life support at the time, continues by the RVIPF even though they have since arrested, charged and placed before the court 26 year old Trent Harrigan of Slaney Hill.
Harrigan was charged with the attempted murder on the grounds that he was identified as the shooter in the CCTV footage and when police visited his home on the said day of the shooting they allegedly recovered clothing that Harrigan appeared to have worn and that was identifiable from the CCTV footage.
Tomorrow July 10, 2015 Harrigan is expected to be back in the Magistrates Court even as the RVIPF continues their hunt for others suspected to have been involved either by conspiracy or other means.
It's this news site’s understanding that Kani Hazell is making remarkable recovery. This can also be confirmed via his Facebook page where there is evidence of him being active on social media having just yesterday changed his profile photograph, posted comments like, "God is my friend, God don't sleep, love God" and the most recent up to press time he obviously has been focusing on keeping a positive spirit when he posted, "Don't want to hear no sad story sorry days done don."

But when people say things like "Thanks be to god", I assume you mean that you are happy that god had this young man suffer and nearly lose his life. What a horrible thing to say. According to your logic it was your god that caused this suffering unnecessarily
So if Hazel laid there by UP's and the witnesses prayed for him instead of calling the ambulance, would he be alive today? You all sit and talk bulls..t all day and night and don't realize you are being taken for a long long ride to nowhere. Nothing is wrong with having your beliefs but at some point we all have to face reality.
Everyone knew it was not Trent.
Now the police are hinting on it.
I'm glad that the young man is recovering fully, please she'd some light on this situation so that an innocent man can gain his life back and his reputation.

What is galling is how "we" as bloggers pound others to the ground just because we "think" we know or the supposition "right" is imposed or worst than that, because we can hide behind the cloak of anonymity. What is the benefit of this? Clearly (I hope) we see that minding the business of others to the extent that it makes us feel powerful to assinate their characters using the blog as a dagger, cannot be the sole purpose of our being.
I'm no Sherlock but the fact that the police are investigating others appears to be suspect. A previous article stated that footage from cctv cameras was used to arrest Harrigan. Yet each week the police are investigating other persons to the extent of releasing them after. To what end? If footage was captured then this is a shut and closed case. The fact that it's not speaks volumes.
So why massacre anyone when concrete evidence seems to be elusive? How about waiting to see how it pans out before throwing away the prison cell key. All the best to both parties involved. May God guide these proceedings.
