Police question 4 in relation to daring Pier Park robbery

WICKHAM'S CAY, Tortola, VI- The Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) has stated four persons have been brought in for questioning in relation to the armed robbery at the jewellery store, House of Luxury, in Cyril B. Romney Tortola Pier Park on Tuesday, December 2, 2025.

Police said preliminary reports indicate that several masked individuals entered the establishment armed with weapons and demanded valuables just after 2:00 PM.

The suspects fled the scene via a motor vessel with an undisclosed quantity of jewellery.

The motor vessel used was later recovered in the Kingston area.

"No serious injuries have been reported at this time, though staff and customers were left shaken by the incident, the RVIPF stated in a press release late Wednesday, December 3, 2025.

The RVIPF also said officers "responded promptly" and secured the area.

4 questioned

"Investigators from the Criminal Investigation Department are actively pursuing leads into this matter.

"Four persons have since been brought in for questioning in relation to this investigation."

There was no mention of anyone being charged.

Commissioner of Police Richard Ullger stated, “This was a brazen act that endangered members of the public. We are dedicating all necessary resources to identify and apprehend those responsible. We urge anyone with information to come forward.”

The RVIPF is appealing to members of the public who may have witnessed suspicious activity in the vicinity of the Pier Park and in the Kingston area around the time of the incident to contact the Intelligence Unit at 368-9339 or call the anonymous Crime Stoppers hotline at 800-8477 or 284-800-8477 from overseas.

Police said any information given will be treated with the "utmost confidence".
