ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- The Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) has named John Emmanuel, aka Brent Dawn Emmanuel and Small Brent, as a suspect in the murder of 32-year-old Nyron A. Erickson on Saturday, May 10, 2025.

The RVIPF held a press conference today, Friday, May 16, 2025, to give an update on recent firearm-related crimes and other matters.

Acting Deputy Commissioner of Police Kenrick Davis said the RVIPF released a bulletin on May 15, 2025, informing the public that 'Small Brent' was wanted for a serious offence, but did not disclose which murder he was linked to.

“Yesterday, because of some concern around potential vigilante justice, we did not overnight name who that person was, as in which murder this person was connected with,” he explained.

Following a meeting among themselves today, he added that the RVIPF is in a position to disclose 'Small Brent' as the suspect wanted in the murder of Erickson.

Plea for public assistance as Small Brent is still in the VI

Mr Davis pleaded with the public to assist the RVIPF in getting 'Small Brent' into custody.

“We believe that aside from the fact that he is a person of interest in this investigation, he poses an ongoing threat to public safety, which affects us standing at this podium, yourselves in the audience, as well as persons listening online.”

Mr Davis disclosed that 'Small Brent' is from Trinidad and Tobago, and officers on the case are of the belief he is still in the territory.

“We have repurposed various elements of our resources, and we’ve assigned additional staff towards this violence reduction initiative,” Acting Deputy Commissioner of Police Davis said.

The authorities KNEW he was smoking joints all while he was in prison because it was all over his social media pages.

      How is that legal?

Why was this allowed must less to even continue?

Is it said that rogue officers were on his payroll.

Why did that fellow attack the police officer in Cane Garden Bay claiming his involvement?

Why is so much effort being put into finding a gang member’s murderer?

Are there blackmail, threats, etc. to the officers if they don’t act fast?

How did they know within a few days who murdered him?

THERE’S MORE TO THIS INTENSITY TO FIND THIS HIT MAN.

Sis, this is the best big lead to capture who was behind a lot of murders in the BVI. You breathing and smelling it and still ain’t have a nose clue. Leave the cops do their thing. The intricacies of every case is not the same.

u one of the first ones here commenting saying look what they doing for a criminal but gon also be one of the first ones commenting saying "the government ain doing nothing for we" when them lawless ms continue to come from down island and put our whole community in danger, over that same one criminal!

the police are obviously gravely concerned for the greater well-being and safety of our community and u should be too! although it was a targeted hit, he wasn't the only one in danger at that moment. lest not we forget bullets don't have eyes and street man don't have morals (anymore at least).

Can't DPP employ this guy and he can deal with some of the other issues we have in the Territory, and definitely deal with the murderer of that girl.
If we get tint off some of these cars we can also help look for him. If he is on a scooter no problem. He will be the one that is wearing a helmet.

@hmmm: Your comment is just dumb. When a murder happens, how would the police know whether the killer is local or non-local?

Let’s just pray they find this person. Who knows? Bringing him in alive might just help the BVI solve some of those long outstanding murders. Some that come to mind would be Jamal (the lawyer), Bob Hodge, Mileage, ET, Ashburn Dawson, the minor and the gentleman (in the west end murder), and ALL the others. EVERY life matter. The police should investigate ALL murders irrespective of who the victim is. Their aim should be to solve these murders , get justice for these victims and get murderers off the street.

Someone said they saw him yesterday (15 May 2025) at Trunk Bay Beach in St. John roaming the parking lot area wearing regular clothing (as in he was at the beach but not in beach attire), but no one paid attention to the comment because it was on a less popular Facebook page for the USVI, where the article was shared. Hope this helps.

I believe he is still here, hiding out, waiting for the opportunity to escape on a boat, to a destination where someone else will pick him up. Anyone who knows of this short killer should call in any information they might have, so police can go to the location where people are helping him hide. I am sick of what our homeland has turned into.

It is a same that they can find the killer of this business man so quick. I mean like 1 week there after and yet have so many of unsolve deaths still pending.

Like someone mention before if they put at least 10% effort in other cases...... it's just sad
    • 10% (17/05/2025, 11:51) Like (4) Dislike (1) Reply
While I agree that more effort should be placed in finding the people responsible for other murders. It may be a bit easier in this case because of the location it was done; many businesses line that stretch with cameras. People with information may be assisting the police as well .

Look him up and you will see he caused his own demise, threw up devil hand signs, and promoted violence.

      Romans 8:6-10

6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.

7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.

8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God.

9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of His.

10 And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.

PEOPLE IT IS RIGHT THERE IN THE WORD OF GOD. YOU CANNOT SAY REST IN PEACE WHEN YOU DID NOT LIVE IN PEACE AND WAS NOT IN OBEDIENCE TO GOD.

THEN YOU GOT THOSE SAYING REST IN PEACE WITH DEVIL EMOJIS.

YOU GOT THOSE SAYING IF GOD IS FOR THEM WHO VOULD BE AGAINST THEM AND WHO GOD BLESS NO MAN CURSE - CLUELESS SET OF PEOPLE EXPECTING GOD TO HAVE THEIR BACK WHEN THEY TURN THEIR BACK ON FOLLOWING GOD’S WAYS AND CHOSE THE DEVIL’S INSTRUCTIONS AND THE WAYS OF THE WORLD.

The phrase “no rest for the wicked” is based on Isaiah chapter 48 verse 20 and chapter 57 verses 20 and 21: 20 But the wicked are like the troubled sea, when it cannot rest, whose waters cast up mire and dirt. 21 There is no peace, saith my God, to the wicked.

Pray for the Young Men in the BVI

All these young men dying just like that - some from accidents and incidents, some being gunned down, shot to death, killed on scooters etc.

Then we have another set of young men sleeping on the street, begging for money and becoming mentally insane from drugs and whatever the cause.

Then we have the other set ending up in prison or involve in criminal activities, some do not want to work and is no benefit to their families, the church, their communities and society as well.

Soon it would not have any man for the young women to married to, and young children are growing up in a fatherless society.
