FISH BAY, Tortola, VI- Videos have been circulating on social media of a situation where two “armed” masked men entered a building in Fish Bay and heavily armed police soon turned up and “arrested” the men.

Virgin Islands News Online can confirm this was a simulation exercise conducted at Bella Blooms by the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) this morning, March 8, 2024.

In the recent past, ‘robbery’ simulation exercises by the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) have caused panic among residents unaware of the drill.

Some media houses have even erroneously reported that an actual crime had taken place.

    What is dysthymia?
Dysthymia is a milder, but long-lasting form of depression. It’s also called persistent depressive disorder. People with this condition may also have bouts of major depression at times.

Depression is a mood disorder that involves your body, mood, and thoughts. It affects the way you eat and sleep, think about things, and feel about yourself. It’s not the same as being unhappy or in a "blue" mood. It’s not a sign of weakness or something that can be willed or wished away. People with depression can’t "snap out of it" and get better. Treatment is key to recovery.

Dysthymia affects women twice as often as men. Some people may also have depression or bipolar disorder.

If nothing makes you happy and you complain about everything, all the time, go get yourself checked.

Is that the reason none of the police show up to Alladin robbery when it was reported????? Yall got to be joking indeed!!! Is the CoP only concerned with fulfilling UK COI mandate or is he really serious about crime? Time for a wake up and shake up.

You got to let the public know about these surprise fake robberies! Already police had tourist running at the airport drill and has citizens calling each other to say there’s a robbery!

The last time there was a tsunami rumor I ended up on sage mountain but you know why I don’t run when the siren goes off monthly because it says “this is a test of the early warning system.”

Is this COP still trying to ruin us and our tourism?

At school when we had fire drills they told us the date but the time was a surprise. That is enough.

Have some respect for citizens mr police chief.

You almost had tourist breaking their ankles at the airport already and rumors of robbery sending people into a panic.

France went into Africa to kill terrorist they ended up training terrorist and getting kicked out. What is really going on in the bvi?

It's cause of drills like these the first responders can be fully prepared for when the real thing happen. If people are fully aware how can we have a realistic training experience. You don't continue doing them drills and when the real thing come you get swollen up in the sea @HMP

Other police departments have proper training facilities for their drills, they don’t conduct them in the public domain.

I bet them bad boys going think twice now before pulling anything similar. Y'all see how our police officer showed up! Man y'all should be proud that these are the men and women out here busting their behind and putting their lives at risk to protect us. Great job officers. Continue to train and get better.
