Police believe fugitives Almestica & Burgos still in VI
This is according to the Acting Commissioner of Police, Jacqueline E. Vanterpool.
“Since my last update, investigators within the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force have been working around the clock to advance the investigations into this matter and discover any leads.
“To this date, we have no indication that the fugitives have left the Virgin Islands,” Ms Vanterpool stated in an update to the public today, Sunday, November 2, 2025.
Police presence heightened
The top cop said police presence throughout the territory continues to be heightened, with the aim of apprehending and returning these individuals to lawful custody in short order.
“I want to reiterate this point: these individuals are considered to be armed and extremely dangerous and should not be approached by anyone.”
No vacation leave until Dec 31
Meanwhile, Ms Vanterpool said she has taken the decision as the Acting Commissioner to suspend all vacation leave throughout the force until December 31, 2025.
“This is a necessary action to ensure the full strength of the force is on the ground and working alongside this investigation, while contributing to the advanced police presence in all districts.”

So what kind of indication is there to show that the escapees left the Territory?? How would it look?
Come on Ms. Vanterpool.. Then you should know where to look if said indications are recognizable that they are still here why haven't you sniffed them out?!
Too much unnecessary information and yapping..
You talking about where, because we don't see them
But...I ain't seen no police on the streets like that since the day they escaped. And I work on the road 24/7
is it safe to say if the African Man was head of HMP all manner of Radio Showz will be On Air
Not to mention the Governor Representative will have the nail them to the cross
Why should the acting commissioner and the officers have to be looking for prisoners when the superintendent and his prison guards take a dangerous man out of maximum security and put him in general housing with other inmates. The police need to speak to the right prison guards and they will know what happen in that prison. That superintendent ain’t keep one meeting since he up there. He don’t have a clue. But the governor protecting him.
