PLM offering candidates handsome packages? Juan R. Hatchett to run!
It remains unclear what potential candidates are being offered and if the allegations are credible.
Today, October 5, 2026, the PLM, also referred to on social media as NDP 4, announced another candidate, Mr Juan Richard Hatchett, to run as a Territorial At-Large candidate. The party has already announced Mr Clifton Forbes as their District Three candidate.
The press release stated that Mr Hatchett is rooted in Road Town and Jost van Dyke. The former Social Security employee claims that people often underestimate how investing in youth through sports, the arts and vocational training can help prevent crime, improve health and strengthen community development.
Other candidates coming
While no official announcement has been made, it is our understanding that the PLM is speaking with former Public Works Department Head Jeremy W. Hodge for District 2. Mr Vanperpool will run in District 4, Hon Myron V. Walwyn is expected to run in District 6, Kevin S. Lettsome (now working for Mr Vanterpool) will run in District 7, and Coy W. Levons is expected to be the PLM candidate for District 9.
So far, outside of Mr Hatchett, Zoe J. Walcott is expected to run with the PLM At-Large, and it is alleged that the party is in negotiations with Deputy Commissioner of Police Jacqueline E. Vanterpool, who is expected to be going on pre-retirement leave soon. The other persons they are speaking with have not committed to the party, according to a PLM insider speaking to our newsroom on condition of anonymity.

The next one leave the dying party so he could be a #2 with the prospect of being #1 if the Party Head don't make it.
They relying on the Spanish vote which is a good avenue so I would tell you all to BEWARE!
Now is not a time to take it for a joke, watch his strategy. And remember he would love to sell the country for a dollar!
The commentary headline noted that PLM is offering candidates handsome packages. What kind of handsome packages pray tell can the PLM be offering candidates ? Are these offerings above the line? Are ministries being promised? Will members be allowed to use office as a passport to private gain? Parties come and go. What is needed now is real change, not nonsense. Money is the mother’s milk of politics. But vote can trump, no pun intended, all. Fellow Virgin Islanders do not be fooled.
Moreover, a wise ancestral sage noted that consequences of adopting wholesale the ‘ Boil Frig’ metaphor can be incorrigible. Well, it seems like the chickens are coming home to roast. Another saying is monkey see and do what monkey see and do. Well, doing what monkey see and do at scale can be consequential. For example, small developing countries such as the BVI try to be like ‘Mike’ ie, they try to do what big developed countries like the US, Canada, UK, etc., at scale instead of adopting and adjusting things to suit their size. Stop it.
Moreover, the adopting of the boil frog metaphor, ignoring its long term consequences is costing the BVI in real time.Blocs, party blocs, etc, are forming. Who to blame? Look in the monitor, opening eyes wide. Go see the eye doctor, the ophthalmologist , not just the optician, if nothing is seen. Talk is inexpensive but money buys control.
Claude see that he can't get on the VIP ticket as adviser or candidate like willock wiggie so he sending signal to vanterpool.
