DUBAI, United Arab Emirates- While the Virgin Islands' four-member delegation is busy at work in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE) looking after the Territory’s climate change interests, both Premier Dr the Hon Natalio D. Wheatley (R7) and Minister for Health and Social Development Hon Vincent O. Wheatley (R9) took some time out to network with both regional and international leaders.

Here in this photo, they are seen with the Caribbean powerhouse on climate change and a persistent advocate for the interests of small island states, Hon Mia A. Mottley, SC, the Prime Minister of Barbados. Ms Mottley is leading a high-powered Barbados delegation to the COP28 meeting in Dubai.

Under tight security, the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP28) meeting has attracted world leaders, financial institutions, non-government organisations, captains of industries, political and social activists, and environmentalists.

Dr Wheatley noted in a GIS press release last week that the Virgin Islands’ presence at the 2023 COP 28 meeting of world leaders presents an excellent opportunity for him to advocate, in an international forum, the needs of Small Island Developing States (SIDS) that are especially vulnerable to ill effects of climate change.

I agree, it is a nice photo. I also would like to say you guys need to lay off the Premier, he is doing the best that he can. To all of you that is constantly throwing darts at him, step in his shoes. Leave him alone and let the man do what he have to do.

@@ all I would say. I agree with you 100. He is indeed doing the best he can do which equal to squat Jack rabbit. That is why we want him gone already because he is doing his best. Of course the brilliance of the lady PM though strong is not strong enough to rub off on the two knuckle heads

Do you actually pay taxes? If you don’t, then there is nothing for you to say.

The BVI does not punch above its weight, it just wastes tax-payers money trying to sit at the top table.

between Dubai, UAE and Sanaa, Yemen is less than 1000 miles. The Houthis missiles in Sanaa have a range of 1500 miles. Think about it!

We don’t need any horse racing track in the BVI, Horse racing draws criminal elements and is cruelty to animals. You want horse racing? Saddle up the men and let them run around the track with 10 pounds of wet sand bags on their backs. HI HO SILVER.
