WEST END, Tortola, VI- Motorists traversing the soon to be renamed Francis Drake Highway pulled over in their vehicles while persons gathered on their porches or near windows to observe, photograph and marvel at a magnificent and clearly defined rainbow in West End in the First District this morning, September 21, 2021.

The colourful bow was thought to be positioned in the Towers/Romney Park area.

In Christianity, the rainbow is a sign of grace and a promise made by God to never flood the entire earth again.

The Promise

“This is the sign of the covenant which I make between Me and you, and every living creature that is with you, for perpetual generations: I set My rainbow in the cloud, and it shall be for the sign of the covenant between Me and the earth. It shall be, when I bring a cloud over the earth, that the rainbow shall be seen in the cloud; and I will remember My covenant which is between Me and you and every living creature of all flesh; the waters shall never again become a flood to destroy all flesh”- Genesis 9: 12-15 (NKJV).

Grace

Bible scholar John Gill states concerning the rainbow, “as it has in it a variety of beautiful colours, it may represent Christ, who is full of grace and truth, and fairer than the children of men; and may be considered as a symbol of peace and reconciliation by him, whom God looks unto, and remembers the covenant of his grace he has made with him and his chosen ones in him; and who is the rainbow round about the throne of God, and the way of access unto it.”

The colours of the rainbow are also used on a flag for the gay and lesbian movement.

The CoI appears to be conducting itself in such a manner to fit the draft report that Gus wrote before he left, and leading to the UK leaving the BVI Government technically in charge but taking over the Ministry of Finance. The CoI is only looking at evidence that supports that draft report, and will leave huge holes of unexplored issues (such as the number of young belongers with no apparent income and yet owning big houses, big boats, big cars, and lots of gold jewelry).
Maybe the Francis Drake Highway, which is also full of holes, could be renamed the CoI Imperialist Road.

What means ”soon to be renamed”
Sir Francis drake h’way Are we trying to rewrite history? How are we changing thousands of charts with “sir Francis Drake Chanel” and “sir Francis drake
H’way”? Don’t we have more important things to look at? Get our schools and roads fixed before you start confusing future tourists

If you want to know how a rainbow is form just research it. So Noah commited incest to populate the earth again, nonsense. King James was gay and they promoted alot of violations against woman in the bible that's why the gays can use the rainbow in style. The bible is man words not noyone or bein name god.

The Universe WILL NOT DO GREAT THINGS AS LONG AS WE CONTINUE TO DO BAD TO OTHERS. STOP THE SUPERSTITIONS OVER SEEING A RAINBOW.

Rainbows are formed when light shine through water. A reflection of light on water.

Come again when you can explain how something came from nothing. None of us should exist by that logic. This is the divine at play all we can do is observe & celebrate it along with our part in it.

Many take the sciences and use it for their own reductionist models. All the scientists do is minimalize & trivialize.

The further they zoom in the more they see to point at. The further they zoom out the more they see to point at.

The more critically they look the stranger and deeper it appears, the more big bangs and black holes they tolerate.

The more they try to understand the more the true logic of reality confounds & contradicts their previous understanding.

If you want to believe in a dead reality when science says matter & energy are interchangeable... up to you life is in front of you perfect, replicating & self aware. Wake up & smell the flowers

Yea reality just sprung into existence with a “Big Bang” & that’s all there is to it, move along back to the job. suuure

An all encompassing divinity in multiple forms like light separating through the prism of space & time while being the prism itself seems more rational. This is the foundation of mono & polytheism. It’s all one bro

You are fundamentally ignoring or misunderstanding the scientific method. I hope this is through ignorance rather than wilful misrepresentation.

Humans always try to understand, and that drives progress. This is why you presumably believe in the god of the Christian bible, rather than the thousands of gods in Hinduism, or Thor, or any of the myriad Roman or Greek gods.

The scientific method looks at small things, it looks at big things. And then it tries to understand what is happening through provable, repeatable evidence. If this is not the case then the process moves on and another approach is taken. This is a dispassionate process that seeks EVIDENCE.

Can it be corrupted? Of course, just like anything can. But just as you presumably don't want to be judged for the behaviours of the Spanish during the Inquisition, despite that being done in the name of Christianity, then don't assume all scientists are corrupt.

Sir Francis Drake was a British slave trader. So why rename a highway after him? Of course, we cannot rewrite history or redraw maps. The BVI government preaches independence from colonialism rule, so why name anything in the BVI after someone who enslaved its people whether 10 years or centuries ago? This does not make sense to anyone who knows BVI history!

All the mumbo jumbo superstition and it is no wonder why many here are scientifically illiterate. Maybe tell them the rainbow is a sign to get vaccinated or something, at least that would serve useful purpose

The rainbow is a sign of newness. About 4:30 PM Sunday 19th 2021 there was a shift in the atmosphere in the British Virgin islands. Newness of life and God is continuing to speak to us.
Stay connected to the artist. Keeping our eyes to the eastern sky.

GOD was pleased and the atmosphere shifted you dont have to believe but I believed. Stay connected
