The colourful bow was thought to be positioned in the Towers/Romney Park area.
In Christianity, the rainbow is a sign of grace and a promise made by God to never flood the entire earth again.
The Promise
“This is the sign of the covenant which I make between Me and you, and every living creature that is with you, for perpetual generations: I set My rainbow in the cloud, and it shall be for the sign of the covenant between Me and the earth. It shall be, when I bring a cloud over the earth, that the rainbow shall be seen in the cloud; and I will remember My covenant which is between Me and you and every living creature of all flesh; the waters shall never again become a flood to destroy all flesh”- Genesis 9: 12-15 (NKJV).
Grace
Bible scholar John Gill states concerning the rainbow, “as it has in it a variety of beautiful colours, it may represent Christ, who is full of grace and truth, and fairer than the children of men; and may be considered as a symbol of peace and reconciliation by him, whom God looks unto, and remembers the covenant of his grace he has made with him and his chosen ones in him; and who is the rainbow round about the throne of God, and the way of access unto it.”
The colours of the rainbow are also used on a flag for the gay and lesbian movement.

Maybe the Francis Drake Highway, which is also full of holes, could be renamed the CoI Imperialist Road.
Sir Francis drake h’way Are we trying to rewrite history? How are we changing thousands of charts with “sir Francis Drake Chanel” and “sir Francis drake
H’way”? Don’t we have more important things to look at? Get our schools and roads fixed before you start confusing future tourists
I guess there were no rainbows before the flood. Sick of this bu**sh**. That's why we are in the mess we are in on this planet. Too much damn superstition.
Many take the sciences and use it for their own reductionist models. All the scientists do is minimalize & trivialize.
The further they zoom in the more they see to point at. The further they zoom out the more they see to point at.
The more critically they look the stranger and deeper it appears, the more big bangs and black holes they tolerate.
The more they try to understand the more the true logic of reality confounds & contradicts their previous understanding.
If you want to believe in a dead reality when science says matter & energy are interchangeable... up to you life is in front of you perfect, replicating & self aware. Wake up & smell the flowers
Yea reality just sprung into existence with a “Big Bang” & that’s all there is to it, move along back to the job. suuure
An all encompassing divinity in multiple forms like light separating through the prism of space & time while being the prism itself seems more rational. This is the foundation of mono & polytheism. It’s all one bro
Humans always try to understand, and that drives progress. This is why you presumably believe in the god of the Christian bible, rather than the thousands of gods in Hinduism, or Thor, or any of the myriad Roman or Greek gods.
The scientific method looks at small things, it looks at big things. And then it tries to understand what is happening through provable, repeatable evidence. If this is not the case then the process moves on and another approach is taken. This is a dispassionate process that seeks EVIDENCE.
Can it be corrupted? Of course, just like anything can. But just as you presumably don't want to be judged for the behaviours of the Spanish during the Inquisition, despite that being done in the name of Christianity, then don't assume all scientists are corrupt.
