ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – Both the Men’s ‘Jus Dream’ and the Women’s ‘Phoenix Red’, retained their Virgin Islands Volleyball Association Power League Titles on Saturday April 26, 2014 in the Multi-Purpose Sports Complex.

The League Season had seen many thrilling, exciting match-ups, but the best was saved until the last as the fans were treated to five set thrillers in each final.

First up Phoenix Red were pushed all the way by the Legends despite racing into a two set lead. The first went their way 25-23, the second 25-21, but the Legends dug deep to secure the next two sets 25-27 and 25-17.

The fifth set decider saw the Reds run out 15-11 winners to retain their title for a third season

In the Mens game, Jus Dream won the first set 25-17, but the second set went to the Gunz 25-23. The third saw Jus Dream romp to a 2-1 lead with a 25-11 rout, but they could not maintain their dominance losing the fourth set 25-19 to set up a grand do or die fifth.

Champions are Champions for good reason and Jus Dream sped to a 15-8 win to wrap up the Championship Game.

    how boring....... yawn yawn yawn................volleyball is in need of new executive to revive the sports to the young people.......it is no longer exciting to go to the games never mind playing in the games. whoever is responsible for norceca ---- the vi need help to get the sports going....

      Lynda is right the sport is dieing...needs to get into the schools..take her ngitive remarks and make it positive not let it bun u so easy!
