SPRAT BAY, Peter Island, VI- Peter Island Resort has been ranked fourth among the Top 40 Resorts in the Caribbean Islands in Condé Nast Traveler’s 2026 Readers’ Choice Awards, earning a score of 99.14.

The ranking places the Virgin Islands property among the region’s highest-rated resorts in the reader-voted list.

The 2026 list, published on October 6, 2026, features resorts across the Caribbean. Peter Island placed behind Baoase Curaçao, Cap Juluca in Anguilla and Cheval Blanc St-Barth, and ahead of Sugar Beach in St Lucia. Another VI property, Rosewood Little Dix Bay, also made the list at No. 9.

The Readers’ Choice Awards are based on responses from Condé Nast Traveller readers. Preferred Hotels & Resorts, of which Peter Island Resort is a member, reported that more than 750,000 readers took part in this year’s survey across dozens of categories.

Recognition is in line with VI tourism profile

The recognition highlights Peter Island’s contribution to the VI’s tourism profile and reflects the resort’s continued focus on delivering a distinctive island stay. The resort describes its offering as combining seclusion, Caribbean hospitality and a range of guest amenities.

The Peter Island Resort and Spa is a luxury private-island resort spanning an 1,800-acre tropical hideaway in the Virgin Islands. After an extensive multi-year renovation and rebuild following the destructive hurricanes of September 2017, the resort officially reopened in 2024 with a reimagined design and high-end amenities.

Its appearance among the top-ranked Caribbean resorts in the 2026 Awards marks a notable achievement as it welcomes guests back to the island.
