Simply hang up or block the number. Don’t give up no bank information. Don’t even play into the threat, that is to scare you so you would fall for the scam. The Africans and Jamaicans is famous for running that scam

I am in the UK and that has been going on for a long time until they send you to classes and has a name for it as fishing and I know a lot of people has been caught but it is all up to being greedy.

@ gone. A lot of lonely people in the UK fall for the love scam and send these jerks thousands of dollars. Some of the victims lose their life savings and homes. Anytime someone asks you to send them money is a red flag. Why would I send money to a complete stranger who called me on the phone? Some people are just gullible.

Is called the pigeon drop. Someone would come up to you showing you a wallet full of money saying they found the wallet and want to share the money with you but you need to give them your account number to deposit your half. Some people fall into the trap out of greed. They try to get me but my answer to them is if I find a wallet full of money why would I want to share it with anyone.Around the Holiday Season is when they try to get you most Don’t fall into that trap/scam.

As long as you don’t give out your personal information there is nothing the scammers can do.
As far as the threatening, that is just to scare you. Simply block them or hang up your phone.

We have scammers right here. Recently in a supermarket a young man came up to me and ask for money to buy chicken as he was not working. Well I told him bring the chicken to the cashier I'll pay for it. The man brought 2 of the most ecpensive bags of chicken and 2 bags of the most expensive rice. I paid for 1 bag of chicken and told him thats all he getting. The Security going tell me afterwards he did that to other people.

This is so common that there’s actually a Facebook page to exploit the scammers. That’s called Romance Scams of Nigeria.
