The minister was at the time speaking on the Tuesday, June 1, 2021, edition of VIP Let's Talk on ZBVI 780am.
He said with some 5000 target persons left to be vaccinated, "we've been around this 5000 been around this 5000 mark too long, we need an upsurge of people who are taking this," he said.
Part of the hindrance he said, is that persons still believe that COVID-19 is a hoax, although global death rates have surged.
"Folks are still thinking that is about Bill Gates and Fauci and all the other persons and conspiracy theories," Hon Malone said.
According to the lastest update from Government on May 31, 2021, some 17, 866 vaccines have been administered in the VI. 11, 917 have received a first dose and 5,949 have received both of their shots.
The Virgin Islands Government has said 17,000 persons being fully vaccinated in the territory is a comfortable number for it to further open up the economy.

"If this is a hoax, it is the biggest, most dangerous global hoax that the world would have even seen, but people are dying, and we have to do something about it," Honourable Malone said regarding the conspiracy theories being shared around.
He added that in the Caribbean, there continue to be struggles and cries about the pandemic from regional neighbours like Bermuda, US Virgin Islands (USVI) and other places like Trinidad and Tobago where information is shared amongst countries.
"If there is a plea out there, the plea is [to] do what is required," he said regarding persons getting vaccinated.

How many people have died because of the vaccine? do proper research.
The vaccine works to a high percentage in preventing serious illness and death from Covid 19. The majority of deaths are from this lousy new virus, not from the vaccine.

You know what is the sad part .... this COVID thing will eventually go away one way or another.
But the day after we will both need to live with the fact and realization that about 50-60% of the people living with us, the people we interact with on daily basis at work, school, supermarket, government ... they think in those terms. Their decision making are following a very different logic than you and me...

Secondly, if country like the US or UK could produce millions of vaccines filled with a chip that small in each shot, TSMC would be ran out of business because that would invalidate it's monopoly of fabing small chips. Also, for that same reason a semiconductor powerhouse like South Korea wouldn't need to import any Astra Zeneca vaccines id they could just "make the chips locally". Not to mention plain irrational costs of productions of said chips, as well as strange timing? Why not during influenza outbreaks of... was it 2008? or zika? If it were a slower process less people would catch on - if it were true... which it isn't....
Thirdly, please tell me what would even be there to gain? Chipping a global workforce? Seriously, you're phone already has a pretty great amount of data about you. Google even has a site where you can see assumptions made about it's users. Tracking? Phone's have your location. Brainwashing? Well... if you really believe we're chipped then, I think you've already been brainwashed. Hate to break it to you.
Please stop undermining the deaths of millions, and centuries of advancement in scientific knowledge for your unfounded, fallacy riddled, and logically unstable crackpot conspiracy theories, propagated by self proclaimed experts on facebook, who also think the earth is flat.
Not a single one of the 12,000 so far vaccinated in BVI has reported a serious side effect.
The countries that have a majority of the population vaccinated have seen serious cases and deaths decline to almost zero. The countries that remain unvaccinated are seeing increasing cases and new variations.
