No it wasn't because I passed there a little after 7 and there was no visible stage nor lights no people nothing so I figure it had begun and finished. I passed back in the area after 8 and saw a siren of either the ambulance or police (couldn't tell because I was a bit far in traffic). Took about 3 - 5 mins to get to the crosswalk where the grey jeep was in the road no lights which I found strange and only reading the newsites realize what had occurred.

all concern needs to learn the rules of the road when it comes to a cross walk....and we should not jump to conclusion before we hear from the police!!!

Nothing wrong with the show there. All they need to do is have a crossing guard at that area each time they have the show so people can't talk nonsense. Show or no show, cars and pedestrians are very careless on that particular cross walk. Some cars don't stop at all even if they see someone already on the crossing and some pedestrians just jump out without checking the traffic. A crossing guard/traffic cop should be there at all peak times, show or no show. They should be down by Pussers and Chad's Icecream/WF taxi stand area as well monitoring traffic and pedestrians crossing

Crossing guard go from here 'crank sharft' with your piss! The show has no relationship to the accident so stop trying to link them.

Let me add that both drivers and pedestrian must be vigilant and keep their eyes on the road. I see drivers texting while driving and I see pedestrians crossing the road while on their cell phones.
