HODGE’S CREEK, Tortola, VI -The rehabilitation work on the now closed Paraquita Bay Road is on track to be completed by Sunday, September 7, 2025.

This update comes from Lordon Hamlet, Managing Director of Northam Construction, who provided details about the ongoing road works in a Facebook post on Thursday, September 4, 2025.

He stated,'' We are right now underway with the last corridor, the last phase of the main road paving. Right now we are currently pouring this section here, we will finish pouring this section tomorrow, and we had a little backup, so we will be ready to open on Sunday, ready for traffic on Sunday.''

Hamlet acknowledged that many people are curious as to why certain sections of the road have not yet been completed.

He explained that the pipes needed for drainage have not yet arrived. As a result, the decision was made to pave the road first and to install the pipes and back drain afterwards.

The project involves the construction of 3,813 linear feet of concrete roadway from Paraquita Bay to Hodge’s Creek.

Northam Construction was awarded the contract for this project, which totals $2,386,015.99 (US).

@ when? When ? Sorry wrong platform please address the commission of police on that topic. The government created this problem by allowing scooters to enter the territory . Government give Police the law and power to confiscate but still no action but still the governor is proud to say that there's over 250 Police officers and still no action when the fact is the force have a bunch of useless unfit uneducated persons as officers just collecting a paycheck .

"The decision was made to pave the road first and install the pipes and back drains after"

I don't quite understand this statement. More "dig up" works to come?
