NANNY CAY, Tortola, VI- The 2025 BVI Charter Yacht Show got underway on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, with more than 60 yachts on display and hundreds of yacht brokers participating at Nanny Cay Resort and Marina.

“We have a record amount of crewed yachts here tonight — 65-plus crewed yachts. We have a record amount of crewed yacht brokers or charter yacht brokers. Over 165-plus brokers are here from all over the world. We have 35-plus local businesses right here tonight,” Premier and Minister of Finance Dr the Hon Natalio D. Wheatley (R7) stated at the opening of the event.

Dr Wheatley said, judging from the support the event has received this year, the charter yacht industry looks set for a very successful season.

“The charter yacht business is central to the BVI’s tourism product, and by God’s grace and mercies, it’s looking like it’s gonna be a great season, and I wish each and every one of you a great season. This is where it’s getting started,” Dr Wheatley said.

Charter Yacht Society of the BVI

The boat show, which is organised by the Charter Yacht Society of the BVI (CYS), ends on Friday, November 14, 2025.

The Charter Yacht Society of the BVI is a registered non-profit organisation which was founded in 1982 by independent owners of crewed charter boats based in the Virgin Islands. It is the only VI government recognised body within the crewed yacht industry.

Members of the Charter Yacht Society of the BVI provide private cruising vacations to guests from around the world.

CYS membership is open to foreign-based charter boats provided they meet all of the legal requirements to charter in VI waters.
