Outstanding Sailors & volunteers of 2024 recognised



Kimberly Cooke-Leigh’s input was recognised earning her the prestigious Ros Griffiths Award for exceptional voluntary contributions to fundraising and social activities.
Mr Thad A. Lettsome was named Best International Competitor for the heights of achievements reached through commitment and perseverance. Mr Lettsome represented the Virgin Islands in sailing at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, France.
Other Awardees
Piper Bailey, Maggie Nolan, Aerin Westlake, and Rosie Wooldridge were collectively honoured with the Sportsmanship Award, for their dedication and teamwork.
Ashton Starkey received the Most Improved Sailor while Henry Clifton- Best Club Helm Award.
Youth sailing programme alumni, Nathan Haycraft, Kyle Roose, Alex Dabbs, and Graham Harney, who have since transitioned to yacht racing, now compete aboard the Corsair trimaran Ting a Ling, receiving the Most Improved Yacht Award.
Mr Chris Haycraft and his crew aboard Ting a Ling 2, retained the title of Best Club Helm.
