'Our fathers’ influence is felt in every corner' of VI- Premier Wheatley

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- “Today, we pause to recognise the unwavering strength, guidance, and love of the fathers across the Virgin Islands. Your dedication and sacrifices are the foundation upon which our families thrive.”

This is part of a Father’s Day Message by Premier and Minister of Finance Dr the Honourable Natalio D. Wheatley (R7) today, Sunday, June 15, 2025.

“On this special day, I want to express my heartfelt appreciation for each of you for your leadership and commitment to your families and our islands. Your efforts do not go unnoticed and your influence is felt in every corner of our Virgin Islands.

Recognising the ‘incredible’ fathers in VI

“To all fathers, stepfathers, grandfathers and father figures: thank you for your vital role in shaping our future. May this Father's Day bring you joy, recognition, and the love you so generously give each day. Happy Father's Day to all the incredible fathers of the Virgin Islands! Premier Wheatley stated.

Father's Day is a holiday honouring one's father, or relevant father figure, as well as fatherhood, paternal bonds, and the influence of fathers in society.

It is observed annually on the third Sunday in June.

    Thank you for the kind words Mr. premier. However my father was never a positive influence in my life I have to thank my mother for the positive influence in my life that made me the man that I am today.
