FORT HILL, Tortola, VI- Sometime this morning, Saturday, November 8, 2025, a tractor-trailer truck experienced a mishap somewhere in the Fort Hill area on the main island of Tortola.

It appears that the trailer truck was making a turn and got stuck, or the driver miscalculated the space of the area.  However, the matter was resolved, and no one was injured. There appeared to be no damage to the roadway. It is unclear if the trailer truck was damaged.

The owner of the tractor-trailer truck or the driver has not been identified up to publication time.

It is believed that because of the many narrow roads on the Islands, many big trucks and heavy equipment have had difficulties over the years in manoeuvring the roadways of the Territory.

When I saw him pass me with a high speed, i said to my passenger, if he hits anyone, they will be dead. Thank GOD no one was injured. Too reckless driving scaring everyone on the road.

That’s the first time I’ve seen anything like this. And to top it off, make a risky u-turn inches away from a 20+ kilovolts (20,000 volt) power line. That’s just plain not using your noggin. Just think of how tragic it would have been if the truck knocked over that power line.
