WEST END, Tortola, VI– Leader of the Opposition Hon Julian Fraser RA (R3) will tonight, November 3, 2022, be hosting a community meeting in the First District to discuss several burning issues.

The meeting, scheduled for West End Community Centre from 7:00 pm, will touch on topics including vacating of seats, Bi-Election, General Election, Interim Representation and other matters of general importance, according to a poster on the event.

Hon Fraser, speaking to Virgin Islands News Online (VINO), said the reason he decided to keep the meeting is to provide information to the district.

“The First District community has been one that has been deprived of first-hand information of what’s going in in the territory from a representative,” he said.

He added that on a previous visit to the area, in October, he promised to return and now is a good opportunity to speak to the people there on local matters.

“What I’m dealing with is informing the people of the situation that they are going to find themselves in, the circumstances surrounding it… that constitutionally, certain things need to happen that would affect them,” he said.
