Online Work Permit System ‘offline’ until further notice

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- The Department of Labour and Workforce Development has informed that the Online Work Permit System is currently offline until further notice.

“Online processing of work permits is on hold,” a bulletin from Government Information Service (GIS) today, February 14, 2022, stated.

According to the bulletin, the department is only accepting hard copy applications for all types of work permits while the system is being rectified to ensure efficient and effective online services.

Persons wishing more information were asked to contact the department at (284) 468-4707 or 468-4733 or at email labour@gov.vg.

    Im so glad the Minister is fed up of excuses. Thats all those failing departments do is make excuses. Set of failure. Set of Jokers. Think they can always depend on excuses.

    Wow, what an embarassing disgrace. Implementing an online system for work permits should have been an easy, quick win that was basically handed to you, and you made a complete hash of it. Someone should have told the minister that online systems are supposed to make things faster and easier, not harder and slower.
