ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – [British] Virgin Islands law firm, O’Neal Webster’s Corporate, Banking, and Funds, along with three of the firm’s partners, has been recognised by IFLR1000, which is a leading international legal market research product specialised in ranking financial and corporate law firms and lawyers.

IFLR1000, according to its website, helps buyers of legal services make informed strategic decisions when hiring external counsel and ranks close to 5000 law firms and more than 21,000 lawyers across 12 practice areas and 250 jurisdictions.

O’Neal Webster in a Facebook announcement yesterday, August 10, 2023, said its Managing Partner Vanessa M. King is ranked “Highly Regarded” for her work in capital markets, banking, and M&A; Kerry Anderson is “Highly Regarded” in the practices of banking and M&A; and Christopher Simpson is “Highly Regarded” for investment funds and banking. 

“IFLR1000 evaluates law firms and lawyers by practice area within a jurisdiction on the basis of transactional evidence by how complex or challenging the work is or whether there was any innovation involved in the deal or its structuring,” the announcement added. 

What is IFLR1000?

IFLR1000 undertakes qualitative research into law firms and lawyers to inform the publication of annual rankings, ratings and awards, and editorial content.

The company has been producing legal market intelligence since 1990 and remains the only international legal market research brand focused on ranking law firms and lawyers on the basis of financial and corporate transactional work.
