PARAQUITA BAY, Tortola, VI- Olivia Margaret Freeman has been crowned Miss Universe British Virgin Islands 2025.

Ms Freeman, the sister of Miss BVI Universe 2015 Adorya R. Baly, won the local pageant held at Eileene L. Parsons Auditorium at H. Lavity Stoutt Community College (HLSCC) in Paraquita Bay on Sunday, August 24, 2025.

The newly crowned queen won all the individual awards — Miss Photogenic, Miss Popularity, Best Swimwear, Best Evening, and Best Intellect — enroute to becoming the Virgin Islands representative at the Miss Universe pageant in Thailand on November 21, 2025

Freeman’s platform was “Bridging the Generational Gap Through Cultural Creativity & Innovation”.

‘This crown is for all of us’- Olivia M. Freeman

“I am grateful to be your Miss Universe BVI 2025. Thank you to my family, friends, and the entire Virgin Islands community for your love and support. This crown is for all of us. BVI to the Universe!” Ms Freeman wrote on her Facebook page, following her victory.

The First Runner Up is Kimberly A. Herbert.

The other contestants were Rhonda R. Victor-Pinnock and Rebeka Josil.

      What is there for the young women to do here in the BVI? What should they do? Sit in the Village and wait for a man to pick them out of the village, marry them, put them in a house and have them barefoot and pregnant slaving blocking them from evolving. A woman doesn’t need a man for building her own success. THOSE DAYS ARE OVER.

      It is madness but BVI allowed Ms. Hamm to hold the Miss Universe hostage because she has the agreement. Not sure how they let a person not an entity have rights to a world pageant. in America, they would take her to court ????
