Old Debit Cards expire today as Republic Bank fully converts to new technology platform

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- Customers of Republic Bank who previously held accounts with Scotiabank will be able to use their old debit cards for the final time today, March 31, 2022, as the bank fully concerts to the Republic Financial Holdings Limited’s (RFHL) technology platform.

Debit Cards

“If your present card starts with 4303 or is a red card, this must be replaced as part our conversion process. Only new Republic Bank debit cards will be valid and activated post conversion, April 1, 2022, Republic Bank stated on its website.

Republic Bank had notified its customers that they will be assigned a new 12-digit Republic Bank account number as part of the conversion process and that it was important for customers to advise employers or anyone with whom they regularly conduct banking transactions of the change in account numbers and the effective date.

Credit Cards

Meanwhile, credit cards had an expiration date of March 28, 2022, and customers were required to collect their new card before then.

According to Republic Bank, only credit cards with the contactless logo will be valid after April 1, 2022.

Online bill payment will be affected

Republic Bank also notified its customers that online bill payment services will be unavailable during the period April 1 to 4, 2022.

It is unclear how smooth the conversion process is currently going as our newsroom was able to draw a comment from representatives of the bank, including Branch Manager Mr Marvin Scott.

It commenced operations at its branch in Road Town on June 2, 2020.

    If you think the lines are long now, watch how this will go wrong after today. I have no trust in them and they will blame it on a glitch or something. If everything goes smoothly, I will be surprised and happy I can use my card again without any bumps in the road. Keeping my fingers crossed.

    They are right with the new technology but wait till the Vaccinated people realize that their body with their card. New world order the mark of the beast system
