Officer sent on leave for domestic assault - Police
“Further actions in respect of this matter will be based on the advice of the Police Service Commission,” said the Police release.
It said too that since the matter is under investigation, no further details can be released.
However, this news site understands that the officer allegedly assaulted his domestic partner some months ago and that it is not the first time that such allegations have come up against the officer.
The officer’s domestic partner is said to be a Grenadian national living in the Virgin Islands. She is an Attorney at Law. The officer is said to be an RVIPF officer attached to the Marine Division and the son of a popular businessman.

Isn't that the same reason you on here????
Looking news????
Well sah!!!!!!
Pursuant to what section of law in the police Act,is captioned-Compulsory Leave?
I saw and read section-35 (1) (a) of the Police Act,Statutory Laws of the BVI,enacted by Parliament, which states in the material caption [Interdiction].
Section 35 of the Police Act/Law states:-
[""(1) The Commissioner MAY Interdict from duty any Inspector or member of the Force of lower rank who is ALLEGED to have committed an OFFENCE- OR
(a) Pending investigation or Inquiry into or trial of,any OFFENCE""]
By sending the officer on Administrative-compulsory leave [Without Interdiction] is indicative of a legal suggestion, that the officer "Did not commit an offence!".
The Commissioner,I suppose is satisfied that the officer,Did not commit an offence.
There is no such offence in BVI Law-books[Criminal Code] ,known as ""Domestic Assault"".
Section 183 & 184 of the BVI Criminal Code identified and Criminalized assault /assault occasioning actual bodily harm, on any person.
Officer,enjoy your leave with pay.
