ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- The Virgin Islands was in party mode early this morning, August 4, 2025, as hundreds stormed the streets of Road Town for the Virgin Islands Emancipation Festival’s Rise and Shine Tramp.
Revellers began their gyrating from various points, including at Pasea Estate, which was the starting point for Extreme Band, while some started at Long Bush with VIBE, and others got the party started with Boss at Waterfront Drive.
The bands and their followers converged at the junction of De Castro Street and Nibbs Street, where the party continued en masse.
Many were seen in colourful costumes, covered in paint, powder, and foam, while some were drenched by the water hoses that were sprayed periodically.
The bands kept the party energy flowing non-stop with their hyped up selections.
The focus will now be on the August Monday Parade later today.
