ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- Persons who were at the funeral at the Sea Cows Bay Methodist Church on March 27, 2021, and became exposed to a carrier of the virus are being told that there is no need to be tested for the coronavirus at this time.

Special Advisor to the Ministry of Health, Dr Ronald E. Georges explained the reason behind the decision to wait 10 days before testing during a live interview titled ‘COVID-19: Ask the Experts’ with Government Information Service (GIS) last night, March 29, 2021.

“The reason that that is done is because if you are exposed today, you have a potential incubation period of at least 14 days, so there is no point testing today because you are not going to test positive, so you have to wait to see if anything happens in terms of if you do become positive.”

“At 10 days, we are looking at 90 something per cent of persons who would become positive who would be positive, so that is actually a better time to test. So there were some people who were trying to get tested today, and that is not necessary, it’s not advisable, you are putting yourself at risk potentially, and you are also potentially causing congestion in the system,” he stated.

Mass testing

According to Dr Georges, special arrangements are being made to accommodate the large number of persons that would need to be tested.

The mass testing will be done at the Ebenezer Thomas Primary School in Sea Cows Bay on Tuesday and Wednesday of next week.

Health authorities have said they are in possession of a roster of persons who would have attended the funeral, to further aid with contact tracing.

This sounds really confusing. If incubation period is at least 14 days, why are travellers allowed into the community after only 4 days when they could have become exposed to the virus on the day of travel to the Territory?

      I agree it is contradictory.

If the incubation period is 14 days and people get allowed to roam after four we have to ask how many people since 2019 have come in contact with the virus already.

After being exposed to some viruses people have a much lower risk of getting seriously by future exposure. If people don’t believe this then it makes no sense to believe in vaccination.

Vaccination is supposed to be about creating natural immunity by introducing a dead or weakened virus to the immune system.

Some of the new COVID vaccines don’t work this way and it’s in my opinion a dishonest to give them the name of a long-standing medication. The people preaching support for it don’t realize it’s different than traditional medicine.

What they were saying at the beginning of the pandemic is not to over run the hospitals while facing a pandemic which is the defined by widespread infections.

Makes sense that if a hospital can only handle 50 people it’s a problem if 500 people require attention at the same time.

What doesn’t make sense is if a person ends up in the hospital with adequate room and staff why does there seem to be no mainstream public guidance for what treatment entails?

Yet when very high status people get infected they get the best treatment which I doubt doctors are allowed to recommend publicly.

When you break it down further, its really more than the local 4-5 day quarantine. Consider that there travelers have to take a test no more that about 5 days prior to travel (somewhere around that time frame). Plus the day zero test upon arrival and then the 1 or 2 days after 4 day quarantine to get the test results. Add it all up and together it comes pretty close to 14 days of monitoring. 3 pcr tests in a 12 to 14 day period provides alot more certainty than what it may seem like if you only focus on the 4 to 5 days of quarantine. my 2 cents...

instead of breaking it down add logic. It all depends on when they contracted it . If they contracted it while traveling of after the initial test your theory falls flat. You need to accept the possibility that they could be exposed while traveling

That is not generally accepted. 4-5 days after infection is the general consensus...

People who wanted to get tested yesterday were simply following instructions. In the first article that came out, persons who attended the funeral on Saturday were told to start arranging for testing on yesterday.

Presumably all of the funeral attendees are having to quarantine before they are tested? Or will that depend on who they know?

All of the hugging that was going on there, many of you just allowed yourselves to get infected. Even without this threat, you should have had distancing. Everyone wanted to look important because they knew the deceased. This was a bad move and the infected person have now exposed the virus to so many.

These unavoidably unsafe experimental drugs were never made to stop tramission and the creators told us that. Yet these deceptive politicians who programmed people into believing such are now telling people that it's safe to walk about without mask because they are vaccinated . These experimental drugs have now made the vaccinated Big Pharma customers for life so it's Ok to go back to your normal daily routine .They told us the benefits outweigh the risks with these dangerous drugs ,has anyone ever seen an itemized list of the risks..Presently worldwide you are seeing thousands of different reactions to these deadly and dangerous. drugs To all those who believe they are not dangerous ,by law vaccines are listed as an avoidably unsafe product. P.S products that are incapable of being made safe for their intended and ordinary use

All the know it all bloggers now you know COVID 19 is everywhere. Glad everyone hug and cry and got together. Praise God from whom all blessing flow. At some point we will come out from under the COVID cloud.
I cannot WAIT to come home again. Quarantine for 4 days is sufficient. There is always a margin of error so it occurred. Lets get back to living. "How did COVID get here We have no monkey in this country. Prayers for the already grieving family, my blessed country the one I love soooooo very much. Continue to try and contain this COVID but as Moses said "Let my People go."
