"Remember, no journey is so urgent that you should compromise safety," Hon Rymer said while extending greetings to all transport operators in a statement on November 5, 2026.

The Minister for Communications and Works said public transport operators play a vital role in the Virgin Islands' tourism industry, serving not only as transportation providers but also as ambassadors of these beautiful Virgin Islands.

'True spirit of Virgin Islands hospitality'

Hon Rymer also encouraged the public transport operators to continue demonstrating the warmth, kindness, professionalism, and hospitality the VI people are known for.

"Share our stories, showcase our culture, and take pride in the important role you play in promoting our Territory. Let us ensure that every passenger who enters your vehicle comes as a stranger, leaves as family, and leaves eager to return as an overnight guest. That is the true spirit of Virgin Islands hospitality."
