No date yet for elections 2023 – Premier Dr Wheatley
The Premier was at the time addressing questions from the media during a one-on-one press briefing on December 2, 2022, alongside Deputy Premier Hon Kye M. Rymer (R5).
“I should say that the House of Assembly has to be dissolved within four years from the first sitting…. the first sitting was March 12, 2019, so that means that the House of Assembly has to be dissolved… no later than March 12, 2023,” he said.
Dr Wheatley continued, “and based on the constitution, you have up to 60 days after that to have an election, but we haven't set that exact date as yet.”

With a date for elections in 2023 yet to be named, Premier Dr Wheatley (R7) has previously assured that elections will come in 2023, and there should be no uncertainty over what is constitutionally due.
While addressing a question on whether elections will come, during a Friday, September 23, 2022, press briefing Dr Wheatley said there should be no uncertainty over whether elections will be called in 2023.
"I'm not quite sure why there is some uncertainty about whether there will be elections, elections will be constitutionally due in 2023, and so the constitution outlines when we will have elections by," he added.
The First Sitting of the First Session of the Fourth HoA commence on Tuesday, March 12, 2019, and opened at the at the Multi-Purpose Sports Complex, in Road Town, Tortola.

this 2022 not 1722 therefore no one man or special group should be keeping the rest of the people in suspense as to when we go to the polls
look out for those political folks day after day them by your house when elections done U don't see them(we dont need those kind of folks running this territory anymore)......every 3 months after election the representatives should meet the people, to busy is no longer any excuse
