Persons were then reportedly told that Senior Magistrate Valerie Stephens had been stranded at the VC Bird International Airport in Antigua this weekend.
Virgin Islands News Online was also informed that Magistrate Tamia Richards was occupied at the court in Prospect Reef.
The Terrence B. Lettsome International Airport remained open even with the threats of Tropical Storm Rafael this weekend, however, certain airlines had cancelled some of their flights, including LIAT.
A call to LIAT’s Corporate Communications Manager Desmond L. Brown this morning October 15, 2012 revealed that all LIAT flights to Tortola have since resumed.
It is not clear if Magistrate Stephen’s delay to Tortola was as a result of LIAT’s flights being cancelled at the weekend.
