No arrests yet in New Year’s Day shooting- RVIPF

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- Police are yet to make an arrest in relation to the shooting of a male in Long Trench on New Year’s Day, January 1, 2024.

The Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) had said the injured male was receiving treatment at Dr D. Orlando Smith Hospital and that he was in “stable condition”.

RVIPF press officer Akia L. Thomas-Nero stated today, January 2, 2024, that no arrests have been made as yet, “but investigations are active.”

Police had described the shooting the incident as a sombre start to the new year.

      That is the word on the street. He shot his own damn self. So I guess he is the one the cops have to arrest for shooting himself.

    I wasn’t expecting an arrest or charge any time/in the future. After all the outstanding unsolved murders and NOTHING, that would have been some kind of miracle and the victim is still very much alive.
