ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- The Virgin Islands will remain under a 3-hour curfew until March 25, 2021, according to a new Curfew Order signed by Governor John J. Rankin, CMG on March 11, 2021, and published in the Official Gazette the same day.

The Imposition of a Curfew Order (No.3), 2021, came into on March 11, 2021 at 5:00 am.

According to the Order (no.5), 2021 the curfew is for the purposes of controlling, suppressing or preventing the spread of COVID-19 and for the protection of all persons within the Territory.

The Order is valid until Thursday, March 25, 2021.

The Virgin Islands currently has 1 recorded active case of COVID-19, according to the latest update by Government on March 3, 2021.

    But who is this man that came here for the first time in his life keeping us under CURFEW when other sisters and brothers who been here before getting problems to come in. I going out any time I want to and no police better don't confront me.

      @akon - matter of fact with beloved NDP was missing in 2017 after Irma “ the now Governor was on the ground assisting.

      What I don’t get it the time and the excuse of COVID or crime. The last lest of killing, drug bust and C***y bashing was all within 5:01am and 2am

    These guys are ridiculous, its like we're living in the Twilight Zone, making it illegal to leave your home, nonetheless for 3 hours, people need to get their facts straight and stop getting their info from people who making decissions based off of fear and spewing propaganda, steady reading from a script.

    This Curfew Order has been in effect since March 2020 but has always extended when it expires.

    He's just signing off on the Order on the advice of the Government (Premier) as only he can make the Order effective/Law. He did not make up the rule/contents of the Order

    under national democratic leadership this place would have over been over-flowing with active # 19 cases just for the love of money....where most folks will be come from to enjoy the sea, the sun and the sand full of covid 19 but just for a fist full of USD some desire to open up the residence to a set of infections(30 thousands with less than 30 ventilators) under normal conditions the medical system have to ship residents overseas for medical treatment
