NDP should formally cut ties with breakaway members— Skelton-Cline

According to Skelton-Cline, the National Democratic Party (NDP) and the Progressive Virgin Islands Movement (PVIM), now being referred to in some circles as the ‘Regionalist Party’—amidst their recent merger—must formally extricate its Alliance members.
These are the Leader of His Majesty’s Loyal Opposition, Honourable Myron V. Walwyn (R6); Deputy Speaker, Honourable Stacy R. Mather (AL); and Hon Melvin M. Turnbull (R2).
Skelton-Cline was at the time on his Honestly Speaking radio broadcast—May 6, 2025—and informed listeners, “The National Democratic Party had a meeting on Thursday. The Regionalist Party had a meeting about two weeks ago and as I understand it, it was the first meeting of the merger between the NDP and the PVIM.”
To this end, Skelton-Cline noted that key figures aligned with the Alliance faction were reportedly neither invited nor welcomed at the NDP-PVIM gathering.
Formalise the separation
“I understand that it was a good meeting as can be and the members of the Alliance were not invited; They would not have been welcomed were they to even show up,” he said. As such, Skelton-Cline posits that if the NDP has effectively cut ties with the members, then the party should follow its own rules and formalise the separation.
“If that is your position, go through the orderly and formal way and bring proper closure. You need to officially catalog and document that in your records.”
Referencing both PVIM and NDP constitutions, he sought to explain that both parties allow for four types of disciplinary action, namely reprimand, a fine of up to $100, suspension (up to a year), or expulsion, following a tribunal process.
“They both mimic the same piece when it comes to discipline,” and as such, “If you can’t tie up little loose ends within your own party organisation, it says something about what you’re going to do when you, in fact, are given the opportunity to govern this country.”
According to Pastor Skelton-Cline, “There ain’t nothing more important than settling that matter,” he said, elucidating further, “... if you don’t settle this one, don’t expect the people to trust you to settle the nation.”

Pastor Grind, CSC, Ronnie, Marlon and others that subscribe to this divisive, entitlement ideology are what’s keeping these islands from prospering. Self-interests before country and people.
