CAPOON’S BAY, Tortola, VI - First District Representative, the Honourable Andrew A. Fahie is all geared up to deliver an address to the people of the First District and the Virgin Islands billed as his Annual First District Report.

Hon. Fahie is expected to critique the first two years of the National Democratic Party (NDP) Administration and tell his constituency of his own accomplishments while in office for the past two years.

The NDP Record according to Hon. Fahie

Along with Hon. Julian Fraser RA, (R3) from the Virgin Islands Party Opposition, Hon. Fahie (R1) has been one of the hardest critic of the Dr. Smith lead two-year-old Administration.

He has accused the Premier and Minister of Finance Dr. the Honourable D. Orlando Smith of lying to the people about his knowledge of the Auditor General Report on the Ports Development Project, and about the finances of the Territory.
Hon. Fahie has also been at the forefront of criticizing the reckless spending of the NDP Administration along with the many no bid contracts and alleged contract splitting contributing to lack of transparency in the use of public funds.

Some NDP Lies-Hon. Fahie

One of the lies that the First District Representative pointed out is the alleged NDP political script that the Virgin Islands Party (VIP) Government of which he was apart, left the country broke.

The former Minister said that when the NDP took office in November of 2011, they met some $50 Million a week after they were in office with no doing of the Smith Administration which came from the Financial Services Commission.

Hon. Fahie noted that the issue was in terms of public debt and the monies had to come out of the Consolidation Fund to pay for the alleged reckless contract signed for the Hospital by the NDP in 2006/2007 for $64 million when in fact the hospital cost well over $100 Million resulting in the Consolidation Fund carrying the weight of the project until a loan was secured.

“The Public Debt has come about by the policies of the NDP Government,”Fahie alleged, in an interview last week with this news site.

He fired back at the ruling NDP Administration for not telling the people the truth on the Finances of the country and reminded the public of the reckless spending of the NDP within the past two years in office that will truly leave us broke.

The popular Member of Parliament named projects started recently by the NDP, for example the Georgie Hill Road started at $300,000 now way over a Million dollars, the Craft Alive Project with the last price tag of over a Million dollars and the Park to be built in Road Town which is expected to reach over a Million dollars.

The meeting is expected to be well attended by many supporters and well-wishers from the District along with VIP supporters and ordinary citizens from around the Territory.

This Andrew Fahie person ,poor fella.
Dr Smith ignores him and so do other members of his own party. The islands are moving ahead, treading in new and unfamiliar areas in an effort to grow while he .holds fast to the legacy of being a digruntled mass. How can he live like that day in day out with his negativity. From a health standpoint, this man is doing himself no good whasoever.
.In addition his mudslinging has tainted hoi's character worse.
