ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- At least two religious personalities in the Virgin Islands have come out against a Halloween event being promoted by the youth arm of the National Democratic Party (NDP).

According to the flyer shared on social media, A Halloween Treat Fest is slated for October 31, 2026, at Noel Lloyd Positive Action Movement Park from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM.

‘Celebration of the demonic kingdom’

According to Apostle R. Tasha Toussaint, on her Facebook page, The Alabaster Box, today, October 20, 2026, she was disturbed to learn of the event to celebrate Halloween.

“Halloween is a celebration of the demonic kingdom and should not be taken casually by what we call a Christian society. It is a season when the border between the spiritual world and the physical world becomes very porous.

“If we understood the things of the spirit and engaged in spiritual mapping, we would have seen patterns of strange things happening around this time over the last ten years”

Toussaint claimed that during this time, demonic covenants are being renewed by seeking blood.

“Virgin Islands, please protect our children and return to our spiritual foundation,” Toussaint stated.

Leave Leviathan ‘at the bottom of the ocean’- Theresa Felix

Meanwhile, Theresa Felix also shared similar sentiments and called on the NDP to reconsider the event.

“As a Christian Community that is already struggling with occultic spirits, divination, oppression, suppression and idolatry, why are we promoting Halloween?”

Felix added on her Facebook page, the gates of the VI need to be protected.

“Stop creating open doors in ignorance. Spiritual warfare is real. The doors that are already open are challenging enough. We have to draw a line and decide what we stand for as a people.”

Felix called on NDP chairman Honourable Marlon A. Penn (R8) to urge the organisers to change the event to something more community-based, “without attracting more witchcraft and the demonic over the territory. Leave Leviathan where it is in the bottom of the ocean,” Felix stated.

Our News Centre can confirm that the Halloween event has been sanctioned by the NDP.
