NBA star Pascal Siakam lists BVI as favourite vacation destination

INDIANAPOLIS, Indiana, USA- The [British] Virgin Islands, a top Caribbean tourism destination, continues to attract hundreds of thousands of visitors every year, including the rich and famous.

Some celebrities have made it no secret that their favourite vacation destination is the [British] Virgin Islands (VI).

One such person is NBA star Pascal Siakam, who currently plays for Indiana Pacers.

This was highlighted by the BVI Tourist Board (BVITB) in a Facebook post on January 27, 2024.

NBA Champion & 2-time NBA All-Star

Siakam, a two-time NBA All-Star who won an NBA championship with the Toronto Raptors in 2019, also disclosed that his favourite non-basketball sport is soccer (football).

The Cameroonian also said his favourite animal is the lion and his favourite food is pasta.

Siakam is considered one of the NBA's most versatile players and one of the best defenders in the NBA. He is known for his ability to guard opposing players from the 1 through 5 positions, and for his efficiency as a rim protector in addition to being an excellent perimeter defender.

    BVI have be been a place for relaxation from back in the 60s: the infrastructure now needs refurbishing

    some may recall going Cane Garden Bay just to take a swing on that tire on the Coconut Tree by Stanley’s…..Good & Sweet Old Days

    One the hardest worker in the NBA. Brings 100 % effort to the court everytime..One of my favourit. Hope to meet him when he comes again, continue to spread the word.

    Meanwhile the infrastructure is laughable, the people have little confidence in the administration, policies are archaic, 'Belongers' need visas to enter. LOL. If THAT oxymoron alone doesn't show that the overall BVI mindset ain't evolving as organically as it should, we are all delusional.
    But don't worry, rich people and random tourists come her a-plenty so we are GREAT.
    I don't know about y'all but a few tourists who have a great 1-day experience here enjoying service and hospitality which they pay for, are as ill equipped to define this destination ...just like they stop to take pictures of the $#%$^ chickens they don't see where d RaSS they come from. I appreciate their visit and their revenue contribution but they do NO define the value of the BVI. Place needs help still. Problem is...like other places...politics NEVER attracts the best and brightest
