Myron V. Walwyn eyeing D6 in 2023 elections
He will come up against the incumbent Representative and Virgin Islands Party (VIP) Member Hon Alvera Maduro-Caines, who is also the Junior Minister for Tourism. Ms Maduro-Caines was first elected in 2011, defeating former VIP strongman Omar W. Hodge.
Mr Walwyn was defeated in 2019 as head of the NDP but spent two terms (2011-2019) as At Large elected Member and the Minister for Education and Culture. He has had a controversial past, most often clashing with other Members of his team, the Opposition and the media.
Pros & Con for Walwyn
Many have accused him of victimisation, allegedly forcing many public officers out of their jobs, especially under his Ministry. Others have credited Mr Walwyn with helping many residents via his assistant grants programme and moving the Territory forward in areas of culture. This included getting a national dress and song, which are still used today.
The former Minister hit a low point when he said a few years ago that there was nothing that could be done to help locals in a competitive economy. Recently, he has denied saying this, but it was carried wide in both regular and social media.
Many believe Mr Walwyn is now caught up in the UK witch-hunt where he is before the courts after being arrested and charged for Breach of Trust over a $1.2 Million wall around the Elmore Stoutt High School (ESHS).

The UK has allegedly tagged many residents they do not like and who are outspoken and have deployed over 30 Caucasian UK police Offices to harass residents and allegedly destabilise the country.
Mr Walwyn said he did nothing wrong and has moved to have the trial sped up before the election.
Efforts to reach Mr Walwyn were futile, up to the time of publication.

I had the opportunity to work with a few ladies in politics or seeking to be in politics such as Lorna, Luce, Alvera, Shaina, Slyvia Moses, and Shereen. I will advise all to take my advice. You can take a chance with Alvera and maybe Shaina and Luce but stay far from voting for the rest. All they want is the power to terrorize who they hate and even some who they love and sell us out to the slave masters.

He may be under investigation but has the DPP provided the evidence to really charge him? As someone said, President Trump ran while under investigation. BVI do not have a written law against such. We have criminals who were also in the govt pot this past term and we some who are running on VIP. So what are we really saying.
