If the present VIP doesn't ban these scooters off out nation streets. We will be voting out this government. You have enough time to act before the next General Election.

No matter how much you dislike the current government, it's unfair to blame them for these guys reckless riding/driving. The riders don't care about their lives and if they don't I don't see why you should either. Let fate take it's course.

I bet if one of them run you down or crash into your vehicle and you end up in critical care at the hospital, you would change what you said "Let fate take it's course"

At this rate the NHI will be out of funds by years end due to these ignorant and unlawful scooter riders. In da islands it's all 'island time mon', except when these idiots get on a scooter. I hope the rider is ok and not needing any expensive medical attention.

Why does NHI cover the medical expenses for motorcycle/scooter owner/drivers/riders after an accident? If these folks are too cheap to buy a 4 wheel vehicle then why pay for their foolish decision to drive around BVI roads on 2 wheels with a motor.

Almost every other day or so is some scooter accident that can be avoided. Some of these scooters riders seem to have a death wish or something. Something no right with some of them. I hope they get it right and learn from those who have gone on before.

I disagree about the hardened part. They just don’t care, largely because growing up, they don’t see anybody else caring. What future is on offer for many? Few are ever brought to account. Traffic laws are for others as far as they are concerned. Riders seem to take pleasure in flaunting the rules, losing repect from other drivers. Countries that rely on scooters have lower rates of accidents because people generally follow the rules or they end up having to walk.

u learn something new every day because someone suggested to remove VIP for not banning bikes into the country however the that permits up to a certain size of motor bikes on the island been on the books for years

I somehow thought it was the ride that cause accidents: we have people who have committed murder mix with us every day

I surprised Red Bull and Pookie are still alive, because those 2 are a nuisance to the motoring community.

To Zone out, nothing is wrong with giving your opinion but you didn't have to call their names. They are not the only 2 that ride scooters on road and its not only the reckless riders get into accidents. The Fire Man that pass recently Always had a Helmet on his head every time I use to see him on his scooter and he was not a reckless rider. People need to understand that words have power and what comes out of your mouth goes into the atmosphere. Instead of speaking negative over our young people lets try speaking positive over all our young men and women. Let's begin by saying 'They shall live and not Die, in Jesus Name"

In other countries where scooters are the main source of transportation, there are hardly ANY accidents. The reason is that those people follow traffic rules and are not irresponsible @#$*****S like these here. These scooter riders here are impatient and causing mental trauma to the cars they are crashing into. I'm not saying all of these accidents are scooter riders' faults, but 99.9% are. I've been in traffic where it has to slow or stop for some reason, and the scooter riders just speed past everyone without being able to see why the traffic slowed, almost getting themselves hit. I am numb now when I hear of a scooter rider getting hurt because that is part of the trauma they have caused me.
