Motor scooter rider seriously injured in Accident @ Sophie Bay

SOPHIE BAY, Tortola, VI- A motor scooter rider has been rushed to Dr D. Orlando Smith Hospital following an accident at Sophie Bay Hill, according to reports reaching Virgin Islands News Online (VINO).

The accident occurred this afternoon, April 11, 2022.

It is unclear at this stage whether any other vehicle was involved.

Police and ambulance were called to the scene.

More details to follow.

    So next time a vehicle is involved in an accident, the law should ban all cars, jeeps, trucks, etc.

      Sorry can you tell me how many scooter riders have been killed/seriously injured when compared to car drivers, it’s ridiculously disproportionate. A wasted mind is indeed a shame.

    I wonder if the minister of communications drive on these roads. Time to charge all the concrete companies for littering the roads and hills with concrete that is causing serious hazard for the motoring public. The law have strength for the public but seems to have none for foolishness and hazardous conditions these concrete companies are causing to the public.
