SLANEY, Tortola, VI- Word just reaching our newsroom is that a motor scooter rider was reportedly seriously injured in an accident at Slaney, on Tortola today, Friday, January 13, 2023.

Reports are the accident took place close to 1:00 pm .

The circumstances surrounding the mishap and whether another vehicle was involved are known.

"The RVIPF can confirm a lone vehicle accident involving a motor scooter after 1 pm today. One male received serious injuries and was transported to Dr. Orlando Smith hospital for treatment. Investigation is ongoing," Police stated.

      These riders still not learning...No helmet, no respect for traffic rules...How much more need to happen for careful and cautious riding to take place...This is almost seems like the norm it dont even feel sad anymore ..Though it is very sad..

        Does feel. Sadly, these riders don’t care about traffic laws, or anything else for that matter, so they engage in self destructive behaviout. They probavly don’t feel there is much future for them. Limited education, no ambition. Long ago the pols abandoned the youths of the Territoy….
