Motor scooter rider injured in accident on De Castro St

DE CASTRO STREET, Tortola, VI- A motor scooter rider was taken to Dr D. Orlando Smith Hospital with serious injuries after he was struck by a vehicle on the corner of De Castro Street and Nibbs Street last evening, July 30, 2025.

The circumstances surrounding the accident are unclear to our News Centre at this time; however, reports suggest the man may have received serious head injuries.

It is unclear if the motor scooter rider was wearing a protective helmet at the time of the accident, which occurred in the vicinity of 1FirstBank and Republic Bank.

    The way they riding and drivers driving hmmm. I went East end wednesday afternoon came back through Belle Vue..Lord Never me again East End at night..The way they flying up that hill bikes and Cars and the way the bike were over taking I had to Bob and weeve for my life, then so many Pot holes, on coming drivers swerving, Never being so scared driving..I am living in tiwn, never in East end again in night..

    Riding recklessly this is the consequence. He was full throttle passing like he was being chased! Sorry he didn’t make it where he was going but they don’t learn from all the others…many more will have to suffer, many more will have to die….
