Motor scooter accident in Pasea Estate area

PASEA ESTATE, Tortola, VI- Sometime before 2:00 PM today, March 14, 2026, there was another scooter accident in the Pasea Estate area.

It appears that a rental vehicle and a motor scooter may have collided; however, it is unclear how the accident happened and who was in the wrong. 

Police are currently on the scene investigating the accident. Virgin Islands News Online (VINO) will continue to monitor this developing story and provide an update once available. 

Scooter accidents in the Virgin Islands (VI) have been on the rise for the past five years, resulting in injuries and deaths.

    Was that vehicle trying to go from Rite Way to the other side? WHICH IS SOMETHING NOT PERMITTED. Police needs to lock them up. These cars are always zooming over to that side almost hitting other cars.

    People coming out from Rite Way keep trying to make that crossing that they know is wrong. You can look at how the car is oriented and you just know they're in the wrong, the vehicle would have been turned more if they were just getting on to the outmost lane. Stop Trying to do this, just come out from the FSC Road and change lanes. Doesn't matter how often you do it without anything bad happening, if you make it a habit it will eventually cause danger.

    At first glance at the photo, it looks like the car came out of the wrong Riteway exit to try and cross the lanes to head toward town.

    Every manjack hear dis ya! Life is about learning. It seems these motor scooter riders are not learning a think from all the serious incidents which have occurred over the heats, resulting in serious injuries. They ride wantonly, recklessly with abandon, thinking they are invincible. Their behavior has resulted in my pain and suffering for their families.,If they don’t care for themselves, they should care about their families. And community. They are placing a
    Preventable and unneeded burden on the medical system. The community must do something to protect them from themselves.
