ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI - The Virgin Islands Department of Disaster Management (DDM) is reporting that High pressure is producing a moderate to fresh breeze over the region, and moisture travelling along this wind flow could result in at most, a moderate chance of showers for the islands.

As such, the weather forecast for today February 12, 2022, is partly cloudy becoming cloudy at times with a 40 percent or a moderate chance of brief showers.

The weather tonight is partly cloudy with a 40 percent or a moderate chance of showers.

Winds: East where speeds will range from 23 to 35 km/h or 14 to 22 mph with gusts to as high as 56 km/h or 35 mph.

Seas: 1.8 to 2.8 meters or 6 to 9 feet for the open waters east and north of the islands and Sunset is forecasted to occur at 6:18 pm this evening.

A small craft advisor remains in effect mainly for the east and north of the islands and the advisory means that wind speeds of 21 to 23 knots and or winds waves and or wind swells of 7 feet or greater are occurring or imminent.
