M'Kenzii Crabbe & J'Den Jackson qualify for Carifta 53
The meet, which took place in Miramar, Florida, saw Crabbe, a returning U-17 Carifta finalist, clock 24.56 seconds in the 200M. She surpassed the qualifying mark of 25.0 seconds.
“The return of M'Kenzii to the Games is no surprise,” the BVI Athletic Association(BVIAA) said in the announcement on February 22, 2026.
M’Kenzii has promised to return to the games and be better following Carifta 2025.
Meanwhile, Jackson secured qualification in the 100M with a time of 10.68 seconds, comfortably under the qualifying time of 10.70 seconds. He also finished the 200M in 21.73 seconds, just three seconds over the qualifying mark of 21.70 seconds.
“Jackson has proven to be a fierce competitor in these Games over the last 2 years. The quiet sprint star has one goal in mind, get back and win,” BVIAA said.
The two join Tyrique Charles and T'Keiya Smith, who qualified for the games earlier this month in the 200M and High Jump, respectively.
