Minors among February arrests, including for a sexual offence

-other men face wounding, theft, negligence, weapons charges

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- The Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) made several arrests in February 2026, bringing charges against a number of individuals for varying offences.

A 16-year-old male was arrested and charged on February 2, 2026, with Sexual Intercourse with a Girl Under the Age of Thirteen. He was granted $15,000 bail to appear at the Magistrate’s Court on March 24, 2026.

Wounding, Bodily Harm & Criminal Damage

On February 28, 2026, 38-year-old Akeam Creque of Valley, Virgin Gorda, was arrested and charged with Wounding and being Armed with an Offensive Weapon. The arrest was made following a report of an incident that same day. Creque received bail of $10,000 and is to appear at the Magistrate’s Court on April 20, 2026. 

Samuel Peter, 48, of Litle Dix Hill, was arrested on February 27, 2026, and charged with Assault Occasioning Actual Bodily Harm and being Armed with an Offensive Weapon following a report made on January 11, 2026. He received $5,000 bail and is to appear at the Magistrate's Court on April 9, 2026. 

Meanwhile, a 16-year-old male of Handsome Bay, Virgin Gorda, was charged on February 9, 2026, with Criminal Damage, Driving Without a Driver’s License and Taking Conveyance Without Authority.

According to the RVIPF, another 16-year-old male of Handsoome Bay, Virgin Gorda, was also arrested on February 9, 2026, and charged with Criminal Damage, Driving Without a Driver’s License and Leaving the Scene of an Accident.

Reckless Negligence & Theft

Police arrested and charged Dimitri Sprauve, 21, of Lower Estate with Reckless and Negligent Act on February 23, 2026. He was also issued tickets for Failing to Comply with a No Entry Sign and Failing to Pull to the Left of the Roadway at the sound of a Siren following routine patrols along DeCastro Street on February 23, 2026. 

He was granted $10,000 bail and is to appear at the Magistrate’s Court on April 9, 2026. 

On February 9, 2026, the police arrested Jeremy Vanterpool, 20, and Nathaniel Vanterpool, 21, both of Main Street. 

They both were charged with Theft and Common Assault following a report of an assault on February 9, 2026. The two men received bail of $5,000 each and were to appear at the Magistrate’s Court on March 26, 2026. 

Weapons Charges

Uriel Frett, 67, of Long Look, was arrested and charged with Keeping an Air Gun Without a License and Unlawful Possession of Explosives following a search warrant executed at his residence on February 5, 2026. 

Frett was granted $1,500 bail and was to appear at the Magistrate’s Court on March 19, 2026.

Police arrested and charged Anthony Chinneery, 49, of New Bush on February 24, 2026, with Possession of a Prohibited Weapon and three (3) counts of Possession of an Offensive Weapon. His arrest followed the execution of a search warrant at his residence on February 24, 2026. He was granted $2,500 bail and is to appear at the Magistrate’s Court on April 9, 2026.
