Mini Cultural East End Parade set for 1:00 pm start today, August 3, 2022

EAST END, Tortola, VI- As the Virgin Islands Emancipation Festival winds down to a close, all roads will lead to East End for a Mini Cultural Parade today, Wednesday, August 3, 2022.

The parade, organised by the Virgin Islands Communal Association (VICA), is scheduled to start at 1:00 pm.

The procession will begin at Terri's Hill, East End, down by the bus stop next to Dr Pickering's gap and up through Vanterpool Estate, up to the Long Look Sticket and ending on the Green Land field.

“This was the traditional route, we are going back to the ole time style.

“Come out and join in the celebration of Virgin Islands Culture. Taking us back to dem ole time days. You will be truly amazed,” VICA stated.

      East end needed to cut out the parade and come with something else more creative...here is a suggestion..Have a swimming competition at Beef. Let the swimmers go out on a Boat 100 yds then jump off when the Bell sounds and swim to sure and have a strong or rope drawn above the water with many cash prices. The first price represent colour pouches so the swimmers knows the colour they aiming for so when the first swimmer reach the line pull green that represent first price..the second swimmer pull blue that represent second price...

        They can have their own little thing but many who want to do stuff there only focusing on the stickette area and not the entire east end.
