Mickiel Robin, Yamilka George & Glenroy Christopher charged following drug bust
Police have also charged Glenroy Christopher, 34 of Belmont Estate with unlawful possession of ammunition and unlawful possession of a controlled drug.
Trio granted bail
“All three were granted bail for their later appearance in court,” the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) stated in a press release on March 3, 2022.
“The operation which targeted several premises on the western end of the island resulted in five persons being arrested, three on suspicion of the murder in the shooting death of Jaquan Thomas. One of the five was discharged pending further investigations. Other charges may be pending,” the RVIPF stated.
Kellon Fortune remanded
Trinidadian Kellon Fortune, 31, was slapped with 4 charges of possession of a prohibited weapon and 1 charge of possession of an unlicensed firearm.
He was remanded to prison when he appeared before Magistrate Khadeen Palmer on March 3, 2022.
“This present investigation has brought to light premises used for illicit activities in the Territory that are hidden from general public view. Persons are encouraged to report any unusual traffic to or from premises in the neighbourhood or suspicious activity to the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force,” Police stated.
The RVIPF has made an appeal for anyone with information in relation to the murder of Jaquan Thomas to provide that information to the Major Crime Team by calling 368-5682.
