ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI - Four young ladies vying for Miss Teen Diva 2012 vowed to be energetic, creative, bold and classy when they were revealed to the public last evening, March 16, 2012 at the Bat Cave, Baughers Bay.

Shaemore Smith 12; Lakesha Claxton 16; Jajdah Penn 12 and Rene Clarence 14 will battle for the crown on August 25, 2012 at the East End/ Long Look Community Centre in seven segments. Interestingly, they are all students of the Elmore Stoutt High School.

According to Camille Merry, the pageant’s coordinator, the aim of the pageant is to ensure young ladies be seen as positive role models to their peers, as well as, give them the confidence to tap into their creativity.

In addition to that, the queen will be a voice to youths on how to use the social media wisely.

The confident contestants will be competing in Diva Party Wear, Creative School Wear, African Diva Wear, Party Wear, Evening Wear, Introduction and Question and Answer. Prizes up for grabs include jewellery, gift baskets, money and of course the crown.

The reigning queen is Sherise Stapleton. This is the fifth year the pageant is being held.
