Meet Ms Antigua & Barbuda - Renee Laronde
Renee was born on August 13, 1991 in St. John’s, Antigua and is the youngest of four sisters.
She is a 2009 high school graduate of the Ottos Comprehensive School and also holds a Diploma from the Advanced Level Department of the Antigua State College.
During leisure moments, she enjoys an invigorating swim and relaxing walk on the beach. Renee is an ardent and skillful netball player, stilt walker and steel pan player as well as a verse modern, contemporary and folk dancer.
After attaining second runner up in the 2007 Miss Antigua Teen Pageant, Renee grew to become a pageant fanatic. Since then she has successfully participated in the Ms. Leeward Island Talented Teen Pageant in Anguilla, placed first runner up in the 2011 Ms. Independence Homecoming Pageant and also was crowned Ms. Queen of Carnival 2012.
Many people describe her as being a funny and effervescent young woman who has a good head on her shoulders and can be quite outgoing. These attribute certainly contribute to well-rounded personality and character.
Renee is a God-fearing individual who is grounded by her faith and strong family ties. Having grown up in a single parent home with her mother as the breadwinner, she has learnt the importance of independence. Consequently, she intentions to make her mother proud in everything that she does as she has always been her support system.
